On Tuesday 19th November 2025, the District Chief Executive for Ho West, Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, accompanied by officers from the Planning Unit, Works Department, Physical Planning Department, and the Social Welfare and Community Development Department of the Ho West District Assembly, together with representatives from First Sky Construction, undertook a field engagement exercise in the communities of Anyirawase and Tsawenu. The purpose of the visit was to engage homeowners whose properties fall within the demolition corridor of the ongoing Big Push road construction project.
During the exercise, the team interacted directly with affected residents, gathering detailed information on the structures earmarked for demolition and validating ownership documentation. This preliminary data collection is a crucial step in ensuring accuracy as the project progresses.
The engagement also served to inform and prepare the homeowners for a forthcoming interaction with the valuation team from the Ministry of Roads and Highways. The upcoming meeting will provide an avenue for thorough discussions, verification of affected properties, and the determination of appropriate compensation packages for eligible homeowners.
The Assembly emphasized its commitment to continuous communication with residents as the road project advances.
